I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land(Genesis. 28:15)
About a month after the Elder's funeral, his wife's obituary was delivered. Thinking of the children who suddenly lost their parents, tears and sad breath flowed in the eyes of the listener.
These happened about two months after the Elder, who was fighting cancer, entrusted his wife, who was taking care until the end, to the nursing home. I was surprised again by the new fact while reading today's advertisement for his wife's funeral. I saw the wife's age is a few years ahead of the Elder's.
The words of a friend who cared for the Elder every day before he left have been recorded in detail and given to me.

The doctor in charge delivered the final diagnosis that he could live for the next 3~6 months.
The Elder said, "I believe in the miracle of God's power. And I trust an inner immune system that can overcome diseases in our body. I will do it. Keep an eye on me. Even while fighting the disease, everyone cheered for him and clung earnestly to him, who did not let go of the string of faith and cried out to the Lord.
. On Sunday, the Elder went to church with me in my car, he prepared a plastic bagful of mint candies to give choir members. He was happy to meet beloved members of the choir which he directed every Sunday service, worshiped together, and thanked the love of the congregation who prayed for him to cure his disease.

As an Elder, he remained the whole service without saying a word, but the next morning when I saw him, his eyes were a little swollen.
". Last week was our wedding anniversary, I and ooKwonsa. Two days after, it was her birthday."
"I thought my health would recover a lot with my OO's mom. Then I wanted my family and all the church members who had prayed for us together in the best place, to have a hearty feast. Why did I become look like this. "
"I mean, I mean, I should never die. I can't die like this. Do you know why? I promised. I got better quickly and took my OO's mom out of the nursing home and I took care of her, and will .
Send her before me. , and then I could go. Hu h. huk. Ung~ ung~. " He cried like a baby.
The next day, his daughter sent a message that her father was hospitalized, so do not visit him at Elders home. and the following day a message came in that the Elder passed at dawn. With it, a heartful Thank you message for caring for her father.

There is a saying that Dementia patients remember the Past very well, but do not remember what happened in the Present. I don't know how the patient's memory loss or mental world is changing, or what state it is.
Maybe just as the Elder said, 'I have to take care of her, OO's mother, at the same time, OO's mother also said, 'I'll get better soon and I have to take care of the Elder, my husband'. I suppose this was the only thing the two people earnestly prayed to God for each other.
Today, while writing the English Bible of Genesis, I came across the old story of Jacob and Joseph and got a new conviction and thankfulness.
I am with you and will keep you wherever you go. (Genesis. 28:15)

God sent me before you to preserve a posterity for you in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. (Genesis. 45:7)
The Elder who went to heaven before his wife, would have had a happy reunion with her, OO's mom.
Now, I would like to thank God for the love of Him, who is always with me whether I'm happy or sad. Those who believe in the Lord are always delighted children who walk with the Lord. **
