영문에세이 

 

  W. O. Mitchell, who was a Canadian author took this title in his famous book, which is "Who has seen the Wind" from Christina Rossetti's poem which is Who has seen the Wind?  Neither you nor I;

But when the trees bow down their heads, The wind is passing by.
The minute when he read this poem, he wanted to write a book about wind and a boy who is growing up on the prairie. Even the Bible believes the wind to be symbolic of Godhood.
I was so moved by all those information and words about the wind, I bought that book and at this moment, I am reading almost half of the book, yet, I felt different than I thought.

For example, the power of winds very strong could bring a storm, and the wind could hear even if we are inside a building.
Yet, could not be seen only through the objects like trees, flags, yachts, windmills, dirt, or dried leaves.

For me, I thought about a classic English book written by Emily Bronte called Wuthering Heights in that book "Wind" takes a big part to bring the dead person's presence.
As most people know that the main characters are Cathy and Heathcliff whose death makes them apart, since Cathy died before him, yet, she comes back through the strong wind to talk to Heathcliff, and he follows her to the end. The story of the book will have a different meaning for whoever person reads the book.

When I was reading that book as I was a young woman, I never thought about the wind's importance in that book.
Now, I am getting old, so I am closer to earth and nature which gives us a resting place after we die, always brings us fresh air and rain as well that rain makes crops grow to give us food.

I am always thankful for having a farm to go there every day to do some work and spend time there to make a day of time feel short and could appreciate nature's goodness.
God let us spend this life on earth for a very short time, yet, after we die, the spirit has unlimited time to explore eternity.

If that happen, our souls could ride on the wind, even we could visit the moon.
However, these days, everybody talking about AI[Artificial Intelligence], because of AI, if our grandchildren move to the Mar, how far our souls could fly to Mar to see them even from a distance?
Since I am Christian, I believe that theory, if I believe Buda, will be different.
