Three months have now passed since champion skiier Lindsey Vonn made public her relationship with the world's No. 1 golfer, Tiger Woods. According to Vonn, there are still some adjustments to be made as half of one of the most notable couples in sports.
"Wherever he's around, we're living in a fishbowl. I didn't quite know what I was getting myself into," the skiier explained as part of an interview with the New York Times. "It's weird. But it's just something I have to deal with. He has his job, and I have mine. I just have to get used to it."
Vonn, 28, won two medals at the 2010 Olympics and reiterated her ability ?and desire ?to stand apart from her famous beau based on her own athletic merits.
"Some people seem to forget that I'm not just Tiger's girlfriend," she noted. "I'm actually a successful athlete. I'm Lindsey. I have my own career and my own life."
As she continues to rehab a knee injury with an eye on returning to the Olympics next year in Sochi, Russia, Vonn underscored that things between her and Woods are "great."
"I'm not an idiot; I try not to look, but I see what people say about me on Facebook. I see other things written," she added. "But I don't care. I learned a while ago from my divorce that my happiness is the most important thing. That's all I can control. And right now, I'm happy."
