EquipmentTiger Woods was assessed with a two-stroke penalty on Saturday morning for an illegal ball drop on Friday afternoon.
The initial investigation into the incident was because a fan watching on TV contacted Augusta National. Here's what Masters competition committee chairman Fred Ridley said:
"After being prompted by a television viewer, the Rules Committee reviewed a video of the shot while [Woods] was playing the 18th hole."
Twitter immediately demanded to know who that television viewer was? Who at home would have the nerve to call Tiger Woods, of all golfers, on a silly ball drop?
Well, Twitter then gave us the best possible answer when Lindsey Vonn's ex-husband tweeted this:
I can't think of another person who could have tweeted a funnier response. Of course, I'm sure Vonn and Woods didn't see much humor in it.
But Tiger has other things to worry about, like shooting a 64 on Sunday to win his fifth green jacket.
