Drive for five: Tseng reaches major total quicker than anyone

Yani Tseng raced faster to five major championship triumphs than any man or woman in the history of the game.
At 22, her victory Sunday at the Ricoh Women’s British Open got her there faster than Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods and Patty Berg.
.
She got there two years faster than Berg, who is the Nicklaus of the women’s game, with Berg’s 15 major championship triumphs standing as the women’s record.
Here’s the list of players fastest to five majors:
Yani Tseng 22 years, 6 months.
Tiger Woods 24 years, 7 months.
Patty Berg 24 years, 8 months
Jack Nicklaus 26 years, 2 months
With the LPGA going to five majors per season in 2013, Tseng’s fast start sparks speculation over whether she might pass Nicklaus’ mark before she’s done.
Tseng has now pulled even with Hall of Famers Amy Alcott and Se Ri Pak in majors won. She’s one away from equaling the totals of icons Kathy Whitworth, Patty Sheehan, Pat Bradley and Betsy King.
Juli Inkster (7) and Karrie Webb (7) are the only active women with more major championship victories than Tseng.
Tseng’s won two of the last three majors, three of the last five and four of the last eight.
