Woods routed as Lake Nona sweeps Tavistock Cup openers Mar. 27, 2007 ORLANDO, Fla. -- Henrik Stenson and Chris DiMarco routed Tiger Woods and John Cook 57-65 in best-ball play to help Lake Nona Golf and Country Club take a 10-0 lead over Isleworth after the first day of the Tavistock Cup on Monday. The $2.6 million event will conclude on Tuesday, with 20 points at stake in the five matches. Each player's score will be matched against the two opposing players in the group, with the teams earning a point for a victory and a half-point for a tie. Isleworth leads the overall series between the two elite golf club communities, 2-1-0. Woods arrived and departed Lake Nona by helicopter, one day after he won his 13th World Golf Championships title at the CA Championship. That victory netted Woods $1.35 million, bringing his career earnings over the $68 million mark. On Monday, he and Cook combined for a 7-under 65 to lose by eight shots. "It's nice when you get him shaking his head, because usually he's got us shaking our heads," DiMarco said. Woods earned medalist honors in Isleworth's five-point victory last year. But he and Cook struggled to keep pace with DiMarco and Stenson on the front nine, shooting a 35 to fall seven back around the turn. They had a 30 on the back nine, but it wasn't close to being enough. Woods did get his highlight, though. He creamed a 3-wood off the tee at the par-4 14th and knocked it within six feet to set up an eagle, one of only three eagles for either team in the match. In a group of four seasoned pros, the shot could only have come from Woods.
