The suspect, identified as Josef F., is expected to appear in court later in the day. His 42-year-old daughter has been reported missing since disappearing as an 18-year-old 1984. She was found by police in the town of Amstetten on Saturday after police received a tip. Police released several photos today showing parts of the cramped basement cell. It included a small bathroom and a narrow passageway leading to a tiny bedroom. Investigators say an electronic keyless-entry system and soundproof door apparently kept the woman from escaping the cell, which was constructed of reinforced concrete. “He admitted that he locked his daughter, who was 18 at the time, in the cellar, that he repeatedly had sex with her, and that he is the father of her seven children,” said Franz Polzer, head of the Lower Austrian Bureau of Criminal Affairs.
