For Tiger Woods, it will be his introduction. Woods fell from first to fourth on the playoff points list after skipping The Barclays last week, supplanted at No. 1 by winner Steve Stricker. K.J. Choi (No. 2) and Rory Sabbatini (No. 3) also moved past Woods by placing second and third respectively. Stricker vaulted 11 places to take over the No. 1 spot, one of the top-five movers last week. Rich Beem (21 places), Ian Poulter (18), Robert Garrigus (16) and Steve Flesch (11) also parlayed good finishes into significant bumps. The playoffs field was trimmed from 144 to 120 players following The Barclays. It will be cut to the top 70 points earners after this week's event. Woods claimed the Deutsche Bank Championship last year in the middle of his long winning streak, shooting a 63 in Monday's final round to beat Vijay Singh by two strokes. The tournament, played Friday to Monday, will be covered by the GOLF CHANNEL on the first two days and by NBC on the last two. The third FedExCup Playoffs event, the BMW Championship, is next week.
