Despite perfect weather here Sunday afternoon, I gave up my round of golf to watch one of the best competitive rounds by two players head-to-head in a long time. I am already gearing up for THE PLAYERS and the Masters. The only thing better would be being there in person to see the best in the world tee it up. What an unbelievable weekend of the golf we have just witnessed, the top four players in the world all performing (with Ernie winning in Dubai), just as the season is heating up. I was thrilled by Jack and Arnold. I admired both players and they did so much for the game of golf when not many young people were inspired by the lure of the game. To get to watch player such as yourself and Phil battle it out in a final day is unbelievable that it is happening again in my lifetime. Two players I admire and respect what they have done for the game and the inspiration they have given to young people is fantastic. It is hard to tell when we will enjoy a time in golf that is any better than it is today with so many players that are capable of winning tournaments each weekend. I was especially impressed with the way Phil and you handle the camera bugs and the never ending "go in the hole" comments. I sprained my ankle on Saturday night but when Phil missed that chip in on 18, I was jumping all over the house. It hurt a lot later but I was so pumped I didn't notice. Golf is a game of fractions of inches in both timing, connection of club and ball and clearly in getting the ball in the cup. This could not have been more clearly demonstrated than it was at this tournament. Tiger, you clearly are coming back to your form and are bringing an incredible level of play to the world stage by many players, because of your high standard of play and dedication. You can see that the top players are all near parity, which was not the case when you first came out. Thanks to your quality of game, sportsmanship and stewardship, we are all benefiting, the pros and fans alike. I hope we see more of the fantastic rivalry between you and Phil, Vijay, Ernie, Retief and other young guns in the game. As someone else would say "thanks for the memories," as those of us watching will always remember the level of your play and of those that are playing with you. Phil deserves tremendous credit for the battle he put forward and it's unfortunate that someone has to lose, but we wouldn't all be trying so hard if there wasn't a winner and a loser.
