"She is carried away by her emotions a little bit," says Judy Rankin, "but it's good-natured, happy-to-be-alive stuff." ---------------------------------------- Christina Kim was born in San Jose, Calif., on March 15, 1984, the youngest of three children. Her parents, Man and Deok Kim, had been accomplished tennis players in Korea. "We met on the tennis court, and he asked me to play," says Christina's mother, Deok. The couple left Korea in 1981 to, as Kim puts it, "follow the American dream." Now the three of them travel together to most of her tournaments. During Kim's morning practice round, Deok walks the course while Christina and her father, who is also her coach, caddie and manager, study it.
