This is my favorite Michael Mann movieever, even though people say heat is better. The movie is so enjoyable because it just has that sense of mystery and it creates a sort of dangerous feeling that many movies often forget about. It is such a simple stroy line, but Mann just is able to increase it to an elevation that seemed like it was never going to happen. The best thing is though, it makes sense unlike many others that just put in things that make no sense at all. Everyday cab driver, max, happens to run into hitman vincent and is forced to help him drive around killing targets, but as things get worse, max just stays still until one of vincents targets becomes someone that shouldn't be involved.
