The First-Ever Canadian National Pond Hockey Championship The true spirit of hockey comes alive this January in Ontario뭩 north, and pond hockey teams from across the country have a shot at tasting victory at the first ever Canadian National Pond Hockey Championships and to see their names in lights at the Hockey Hall of Fame. Your team could be there! The first-ever Canadian National Pond Hockey Championships will be held on six acres of natural ice at Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville, Ontario. Come out and experience hockey how it was meant to be played ?few rules, no goalies, blue lines or on-ice officials, and lots of wide-open action. All teams are guaranteed 5 games, including games under the lights Friday and Saturday night. With over 500 participants and 48 teams playing simultaneously and a weekend filled with entertainment, this will be a hockey event to remember. The deadline for registration is October 14, 2005.
